Rony Boeckmann

Co-Owner

Ron started his plumbing career over two and half decades ago, during his search for a well-paying career. He was born in New York, and came to the PNW by way of Colorado.

When he’s not busting his buns around the shop and out in the field, he’s probably VR gaming or riding his dirt bike across the lawn (much to his wife’s chagrin). It’s either that, or obsessively researching how to craft the absolute best cup of coffee, as he self-identifies as an all-out coffee snob.

What he’s not into? That’s open-mouthed gum chewers (ew!) and cucumbers. When he’s met with either, he closes his eyes and hopes to wake up in Kauai. Since that doesn’t ever work, he tunes out to Chris Issac’s “Wicked Game” and continues on down the road in yet another Bigfoot-emboldened truck.

He asked to leave you with one phrase, “GO BILLS!”

Kimberly Boeckmann

Co-Owner/CEO

Kim grew up in the small town of McCleary, and was a true tomboy at heart — always in the dirt, exploring creeks, digging in the garden, and loving every animal she met, ESPECIALLY DOGS.

Aside from running an in-home daycare for a decade, Kim often finds herself in male-dominated careers and makes herself right at home. She and Ron met a few decades ago when they were both commercial divers inspecting infrastructure, but Kim decided to trade one watery job for another when she founded Olympic Plumbing Technology in 2007.

Kim is passionate about growth — both personally and professionally — and she cares deeply about supporting her team. She also loves great food, the morning coffee Ron makes, and the beautiful chaos of being a boy mom. It’s one of her greatest joys.

Thomas F.

Service Manager

Tom started in the trade right out of high school, and plumbed his way up to management. Originally from Tacoma, Tom and his family traded big city life and moved to Lacey while he was in high school.

When he’s not being a total boss around the shop and in the field, Tom’s probably reading, hiking, camping, snowshoeing, snowboarding, playing computer games, or working on cars — and doing some or all of it with his family.

And speaking of hobbies, Tom’s hidden talent is he can crochet a mean [insert any crocheted item here], and that would probably serve him well if he ever got to act out his dream of being an Alaskan off-grid homesteader.

What Tom doesn’t like? Well, that’s sushi (his wife loves that he’s a cheap date), and people who make excuses instead of owning up to their junk and stuff. It’s no wonder his favorite 80s jam is “Don’t Stop Believe’n” by Journey, and it also might be because he never stops believing in Sasquatch — even when he didn’t find it while scouring the north shore of Lake Cushman.

Jeff S.

Warehouse Manager

Jeff, our resident “silver fox,” is new to plumbing, but knows his way around a warehouse like a beast.

As a retired military service member (2011), he’s looked for Sasquatch in an impressive list of places including WA, OR, CO, IL, IN, OH, MI, PA, NJ, VA, WV, TX, DE, AK, ID, HI, Saudi Arabia, Guam, Kyrgyzstan, and his favorite, Afghanistan. Of all the places he’s been though, nothing compared to the PNW, so once he found his way here, he and his wife decided to stay for good.

Jeff is an excellent cook, just don’t come at him with that “vegan ‘meat’,” because he won’t even let it touch his grill. He also has no tolerance for folks with poor work ethic or those “people who do just enough.” (Don’t worry, Jeff. You won’t find them at OPT.)

For fun, Jeff prefers to be hanging out with his wife, working out, reading, going to concerts with his boys, riding his motorcycle, or playing video games. And once all that’s done, he hopes to “retire for real in the Southwest taking road trips with the wife whenever we want.”

It makes sense that his favorite 80s banger is “Ride the Lightning” by Metallica. Ride on Jeff, ride on.

Steven R.

Warehouse Coordinator

Steve, or “Papa Steve,” as we affectionately call him, has been in the trade for nearly a decade, and has lived in Olympia nearly as long. Though he hails from the Emerald City, Steve says moving to Oly was “the best decision he’s ever made.”

When he’s not supporting the warehouse team with inventory, Papa Steve is feeding the team. He’s often the one behind the grill at company parties, and with his love of culinary arts he’s always cooking up something new and delicious for his family, friends, and co-workers who Steve says mean the most to him. He also dabbles in guitar, and is an early bird who says he’s in bed by 8:30 p.m. most nights.

What Steve can’t rock with is a bad driver, and the food he finds most repulsive is licorice. Luckily for him, the latter doesn’t often hit the grill.

His favorite 80s track is Steve Winwood’s “Back in the High Life,” and he might even be spotted cutting a rug to the song while visiting his favorite place in the world, Las Vegas. One thing he won’t be doing in Vegas though is performing any weddings. Although he’s been an ordained minister for 20 years, he says he’s never once conducted a civil service or marriage ceremony.

Sarah J.

Call Center Supervisor

There are a million Sarah’s in the world, but only one Sarah J. That’s why we refer to her by name and initial every time we address her — because she’s that good. Sarah J started in the trade about a decade and a half ago, and we like to think we’re her last stop in her career, because she says we’re the place where she’s been able to bring her experience and passion for operations to the next level.

Born and raised in WA, Sarah J is PNW through and through, with “moss in her veins, coffee in her hand, and a deep love for overcast weather.” That last one we don’t fully understand though, and we’re wondering if Sarah J’s impressive ability to deadlift 365 pounds (and counting!) has gone to her head instead of her glutes?

A self-described “full-blown gym rat,” Sarah J gets her lifts in during the week, but on the weekends you’ll find her traipsing the local forests in search of Sasquatch and improved mental health. She says she does both to be the best version of herself for her children, who mean the most to her.

Karen B.

Finance Specialist

Karen knows her way around a spreadsheet, as she’s been in accounting for 25 years, and specifically plumbing accounts for the past 5. If you ever have the pleasure of getting her on the phone, her rich and lovely southern drawwwwl is a dead giveaway on her Tennessee roots.

She says her family means the most to her, and that’s what brings her to the PNW. We’ve been trying to convince her that the PNW is more beautiful than TN, but we’re not sure if we’re making headway.

Regardless, she is closer now, to her Bucket List location of visiting Alaska to see the Northern Lights. Karen is an early bird who says she’s not really a traveler, but does proclaim to be “kinda crafty.” We tell her there’s still time to take that trip to AK and do crafts along the way, but one thing she won’t be doing on her adventure is eating sardines. She can’t stand them.

Things she does stand for are country 80s bangers like “Fancy” by Reba McEntire and “Heaven” by the glam metal band, Warrant. (Wow! What an eclectic palate. We want to hear her mixed tape!)

Alyssa B.

Dispatcher

Alyssa has been getting folks where they need to go for more than half a decade. She’s our Dispatch Diva. When she’s not route-planning or maneuvering techs along in their day, she’s in full “mom-mode” and probably at the baseball field or the batting cages, depending on the season. She also admits to living her best life at the nail salon, where she’s 5-years-deep with the same nail tech, and has had the same color the entire time — number 201.

When Alyssa and her family find something they like, they stick with it, as she says she’s lived in the same 3-block radius her entire life. Her parents still live in the family home she grew up in, and as a young adult, she moved out, but only a few short blocks away.

She’s also the music maestro around the office, and has been known to throw down a little Warren G a time or two, (or any 90’s-early 2000’s rap/hip hop, really). We also affectionately call her the Comeback Queen, because her knack for quick and witty banter is unmatched.

If she were to venture outside of her home and work “bubbles” (which is her nickname, by the way, but unrelated), she says she’d go look for Sasquatch in Hawaii, and would hopefully find him riding a dolphin.

Vernon E.

Trenchless Technician

Vernon, or “Vern” as we affectionately call him, loves to fish, forage, and hunt (maybe or maybe not for Sasquatch.)

He’s just as passionate about working with iron and has his own forge and creates beautiful handcrafted knives. Beyond his rugged skill set, he has a heart for teaching techs the plumbing trade, and loves to teach pretty much anyone how to fish.

Tough as nails, but the kind of friend you keep for life, Vern is one of a kind — and we’re lucky to have him on our team.

Steven S.

Sewer and Drain Technician

Steven, sometimes known as “Shoop,” went from working on top of houses as a roofer, to under houses as a plumber. He’s been in the trade now for over a decade and when it comes to drains, he’s the unmasked superhero who shows up in plain clothes and saves your day.

Originally from Elma, he moved to Tacoma after basic training. On the weekends though, nearly every single one in the summer, you’ll find him camping with his family at Lake Cushman. In the winters? That’s easy — look for him shredding down the nearest mountain on his snowboard. He says he’s happy anywhere though, as long as his wife and kids are there.

A fun fact about Steven is he’s counted to infinity — twice! But his biggest pet peeve is “one-uppers” so you better not tell him you’ve counted it three times.

Gaige S.

Technician

We barely even call Gaige, Gaige. It’s usually some variation of “Golden Boy,” “Cowboy,” “12-gauge,” or “Nimothy.” (Don’t ask us about that last one.) He’s a local guy, hailing from Tumwater, but did a short stint in Auburn for some weird reason.

He’s been in the trade since 2018, and when he’s not solving your plumbing problems, he’s either golfing or playing fast pitch (which he swears he’s good at), or playing video games, (which he says he’s “cracked at,” but we’re still figuring out what that means).

His hidden talent? He enjoys singing with his wife’s mom, and it may or may not be “Me and Ms. Jones” by Michael Bublé.

He abhors loud chewing, people who don’t stick to their word, and lateness. And don’t even get him started on balut. He wouldn’t eat that for a million dollars.

He believes the early bird gets the worm, and when he gets enough of them, he’s heading straight back to Japan to visit family and historic sites.

Rafael A.

Technician

Rafael, or “Raf/Rafa” has been in the trade handful of years, but can plumb like it’s been 30. He was born in L.A., but has lived most of his life in WA and has zero plans to leave the PNW.

When he’s not showing off his skills to customers, he prioritizes spending time with his wife and two kids. During winter, you might also find him shredding on a local mountain, or watching movies — a hobby that, admittedly, occurs year-round.

He’s an early bird (gotta get that pow!) and his song of choice on the way up to the slopes is “Eyes Without a Face” by Billy Idol. One thing he won’t be packing for lunch though, is canned tuna. He hates it.

He enjoys watching Charros de Acero do their thing with horses, and he also is a fan of FI racing. (Yes, before Brad Pitt made it cool again.)

Ryan B.

Technician

Ryan has been in the biz well over two decades, “after getting fed up with dead-end jobs” he saw a future in plumbing.

He’s been in the PNW his whole life, and you can tell because he loves anything to do with a beach. If he can’t have sand in all his cracks, he says he’ll happily settle for his front porch.

He’s looked for Sasquatch all up and down the West Coast and a few other states, but really, he wishes he were in Mexico enjoying the weather.

Honesty means the most to him, and he has no patience for traffic or chili dogs, and especially not at the same time. And truth be told, he doesn’t even like watching sports.

Dylan H.

Technician

Dylan found his calling in plumbing through a temp agency in 2017. Fortunately for us, he quickly recognized his skills in the trade and made a career from it.

He’s from Washington, and fits the stereotype well, as he loves hiking and spending time outdoors. He’s even traveled up and down the Best Coast, err, the West Coast, looking for Sasquatch.

Besides plumbing, something he’s also surprisingly good at is disc golf. His family means the most to him, and they don’t even care that his favorite 80s song is “Like a Virgin” by Madonna.

Something Dylan can’t stand is dishonesty, and when he encounters it, he wants to head for the hills, or “go hike in the mountains.” It’s the same with artichokes — he’s out on that.

Nate O.

Technician

Nate wanted a “stable job, no matter the state of the world,” and since you gotta go when you’ve gotta go, he found plumbing to be pretty secure.

Originally from Alaska, Nate wanted to move somewhere warm and sunny — so he moved to Washington.

His Alaskan roots are showing though, as he spends his free time hiking, fishing, or jamming to live music. One song he’d love to have seen live is “Lovely Day” by Bill Withers.

Nate’s an early bird who says his family means the most to him. Once he hauled them all the way to the far reaches of Skokomish looking for Sasquatch, but they didn’t find even one big foot.

Next, Nate hopes to try his luck in Ireland, as you never know…

Corbin M.

Technician

Corbin is among Tumwater’s ‘born and raised’ finest! He got his start in plumbing a few years ago as an apprentice with OPT, and worked his way up to technician.

We love his cheery demeanor around the shop almost as much as our customers do, so you’d better believe we’re going to be holding this one hostage for a while. Just not as tight as his favorite 80s track, “Strangle Hold” by Ted Nugent.

When Corbin’s not solving all your plumbing problems, he’s likely hunting, fishing, or golfing. In fact, if he could teleport instantly, he’d choose Montana to bag the big game.

Family and friends mean the most to this early bird, but what he doesn’t hold a candle to is coconut. He absolutely despises the flavor.

He says he’s looked for Sasquatch in every state along the West Coast, and with his search turning up empty, he left us with one phrase: GO BRONCOS.

Nick G.

Technician

Nick, known as “Red” around these parts, has been in the trade for close to a decade after a family-friend gave him the opportunity to learn the craft. Born and raised in Olympia, he occasionally ventures afield but always returns, because his family is here.

In his free time, Nick loves to hang out with his wife and daughter as “being present and a solid father is what free time is about these days.” He also enjoys watching baseball, football, and golf, and utilizing his hidden talent of making the “World’s Best Fried Potatoes.”

What you won’t catch him doing is eating salt & vinegar chips — he just doesn’t get the draw, and his biggest pet peeve is when his work truck is dirty. When met with either of those things, he’d rather teleport to his Bucket List location of Bali, and hang out with his family on the beach, while maybe or maybe not be listening to his all-time fave 80’s banger, “Eye of the Tiger.”

Jacob K.

Apprentice

Jake says he “Was born and raised in Tumwater, baby,” and when he’s not within the radius he’s lived his entire life, he’s probably in the Capitol Forest.

He absolutely loves golfing, “I 💙Tiger Woods!” he says, and also likes to fish and listen to music in his free time. He’s got an eclectic palate, with his favorite 80s song being “The Edge of Seventeen” by the one and only, Stevie Nicks.

Things he does not love: Well, that’d be sushi and serial interruptors. When he encounters either, he says he’d rather be at Augusta National playing golf.

He’s a nite owl, but also a family man. His hidden talent is he can bowl like a beast. He’s been playing for years, except for when he traveled to Virginia and down the coast of the Carolinas looking for Sasquatch. Spoiler alert: He didn’t find it.

Morgan G.

Apprentice

Morgan, but sometimes known to his friends as “Morgan Freeman,” was born in Hawaii, but unfortunately had to move away right when he became old enough to surf. He says he took up plumbing because he’s “always dreamed of crawling in crawlspaces,” and when he’s not army crawling under your home, he’s skateboarding, hiking, or playing games.

He absolutely cannot stand brussel sprouts or when folks don’t tell the truth. When he encounters either, he wishes he could teleport to his Bucket List locations of Iceland or Greenland.

He’s well-traveled otherwise, and has looked for Sasquatch in Canada, (obvious place), but also in Mexico, Italy, Germany, and Thailand.

Morgan identifies as a nite owl who can wake up and function in the morning, but wishes he didn’t have to.

Garrett V.

Apprentice

Garrett got into the trade because he knew what it offered financially and technically. He came of age at OPT, but he’s an old soul, who loves 70s and 80s country music, especially “Big City” by Merle Haggard.

Around the shop, we affectionately call him “Gary,” and he was born and raised in Western Washington, but calls Chehalis home, “for now,” he says.

When he’s not out saving the world, one sewer repair at a time, he loves playing golf and hangin’ with his family and friends. He loves watching sports, but is “almost out on the Seahawks unless they fix their offensive line.” He also reports being a “hostage fan” of the Mariners.

What he’s not into are people who put the t.p. roll on top of the holder (not on the rod), and celery. When he encounters celery, he’d rather teleport straight to his Bucket List location of Lake Como, Italy.

Brandon F.

Technician

Thankfully for us, Brandon’s dad’s buddy got him into plumbing. Brandon was born and raised in Yelm, WA, and traveled all the way to the Bahamas looking for Sasquatch. He says he found him, so that’s why we hired him. Anyone who can find Squatch in the Bahamas is alright with us.

Brandon is a family man who adores his children. He’s also an early bird and loves bikes of any kind. When he’s not crawling under your house, digging a ditch, or handing over a pipe wrench, he’s for sure riding his bike or watching supercross.

One thing he’s not doing though is eating peanuts. He can’t stand them. In fact, he hopes to travel to Japan someday, and it might be because he heard they eat fewer peanuts there.

Trevor O.

Parts Runner

Trevor, or Trev, as we call him, was born in Olympia, and sometimes raised elsewhere. He always gets sucked back to the Best Coast, and the PNW, specifically — which we’re grateful for.

He comes from a long line of plumbers; his dad, his grandpa, who’ve encouraged him endlessly to pick up the trade. He says now that he finally knows what he wants to do with his life (spoiler alert: It’s be a plumber!) He won’t be a parts runner for long, he says.

He loves riding bikes, playing video games, going to parks and hiking with his son, but in his alone time, he likes to “wrench on anything with an engine.”

His love of the outdoors makes his biggest pet peeve littering, and he’s also not keen on touchy talkers. What he does like though, is “the beach and beer” with a side of Hank Williams Jr. He says he makes a mean lasagna, but what he won’t make for a side dish are green beans, which he reports to be “smelly and slimy.”
