A Word From The Founders
Hi, I’m Kimberly, and Rony and I wanted to thank you so much for your trust in our company and wanted to share a little more about us.
We started Olympic Plumbing Technology (OPT) back in 2007 when the recession hit. It wasn’t exactly the best time to start a business, but the company Ron was working for went out of business and instead of signing on with another plumbing company, Ron and I knew we could build something better that valued employees and focused on work/life balance.
I was running a daycare center out of our home in addition to caring for our growing family, and from the get go, we were determined to be the best full-service plumbing and drain cleaning service provider in the South Sound. In order to achieve that, I knew I’d have to work on the back end of the business in between diaper changes and the ABCs.
I would go door-to-door to help spread the word: ‘Olympic Plumbing Technology is open for business!’ We quickly jumped from four invoices per month to being so busy that I had to close the daycare and work full time answering phone calls.
We have grown to be an award-winning plumbing company, and now have a full office support staff, a leadership team, 11 plumbing technicians, 4 apprentices, and several long-standing relationships with trusted vendors who support our team behind the scenes.
Our team of highly trained plumbing professionals delivers modern solutions to your leaky faucets, clogged drains, and cold showers. OPT technicians are equipped with top-of-the-line tools and technology like “No-Dig” trenchless sewer repair methods to resolve any of your plumbing problems, large or small. Our team is full of amazing, hard-working people. Ron and I are incredibly grateful for not only our current employees but our past employees as well. Without them, we would have not been able to create the best plumbing service in Olympia; we owe a great tribute to them all. Olympia is our home and we value our community. We believe in supporting and strengthening our community in any way possible, which is why we partner with the non-profit, Rebuilding Together Thurston County to support their mission to make critical repairs that help low-income homeowners stay safely in their homes. In addition, we support our community’s arts scene through the Washington Center for the Performing Arts, as well as sponsoring local sports teams, schools, firefighter charities, and more.

Ollie Cares: Bigfoot Steps In
At Olympic Plumbing Technology, we believe that everyone deserves a warm, safe home — no Sasquatch-sized obstacles allowed. That’s why we created the Ollie Cares program: Our local-care initiative where Ollie (our beloved Bigfoot mascot) “leaves a BIG footprint” in someone’s life by covering essential plumbing services for Pacific Northwest families in need. A total A+ experience from start to finish! I own a house with two aging water heaters and decided to replace them with a tankless system. From my initial contact to the installation everything was beyond what I expected. Gaige and his assistant Skyler did a great job even after being faced with the unexpected challenge of having to add an additional hot water line. It's rare to have a service-related experience that exceeds expectations and this was definitely one!

We just had a new stove installed in our home which was built in 1926. With all old houses, there are always multiple surprises, layers of useless, outdated connections and weird shenanigans. Eric masterfully reengineered the attachment set ups and managed to get the stove installed. While we had to spend more than we originally bargained for, he knew what he was doing and did it well. He is personable and a good communicator.

Keenan was professional and kind in both his work and demeanor. He answered questions and explained any part of the process we had questions about. Although, we had a delay both Keenan and his apprentice Skyler once work began were on point and made great time finishing the job in one day. Alec R. was a great help during our flooring installation. He arrived promptly and removed and reinstalled our toilets and gas stove, and was flexible and efficient in working with our installers. He also identified a problem with our water pressure, and installed a pressure regulator valve to lower the pressure to a safer range. We highly recommend Olympic Plumbing Technology and plan to use them again for our future plumbing needs.

Keenan was exceptional. I required an emergency service on a Sunday and he came out and with great kindness took his time in being thorough & diagnosing the problem. He guided me how to move forward in obtaining the correct part and another appointment was scheduled just two days later to repair everything. Keenan was comprehensive in his approach & kind in his delivery and informative and patient. I am very grateful to everyone that helped me when I had no hot water or heat for a week due to challenges with my tankless hot water heater.
