A Word From The Founders
Hi, I’m Kimberly, and Rony and I wanted to thank you so much for your trust in our company and wanted to share a little more about us.
We started Olympic Plumbing Technology (OPT) back in 2007 when the recession hit. It wasn’t exactly the best time to start a business, but the company Ron was working for went out of business and instead of signing on with another plumbing company, Ron and I knew we could build something better that valued employees and focused on work/life balance.
I was running a daycare center out of our home in addition to caring for our growing family, and from the get go, we were determined to be the best full-service plumbing and drain cleaning service provider in the South Sound. In order to achieve that, I knew I’d have to work on the back end of the business in between diaper changes and the ABCs.
I would go door-to-door to help spread the word: ‘Olympic Plumbing Technology is open for business!’ We quickly jumped from four invoices per month to being so busy that I had to close the daycare and work full time answering phone calls.
We have grown to be an award-winning plumbing company, and now have a full office support staff, a leadership team, 11 plumbing technicians, 4 apprentices, and several long-standing relationships with trusted vendors who support our team behind the scenes.
Our team of highly trained plumbing professionals delivers modern solutions to your leaky faucets, clogged drains, and cold showers. OPT technicians are equipped with top-of-the-line tools and technology like “No-Dig” trenchless sewer repair methods to resolve any of your plumbing problems, large or small. Our team is full of amazing, hard-working people. Ron and I are incredibly grateful for not only our current employees but our past employees as well. Without them, we would have not been able to create the best plumbing service in Olympia; we owe a great tribute to them all. Olympia is our home and we value our community. We believe in supporting and strengthening our community in any way possible, which is why we partner with the non-profit, Rebuilding Together Thurston County to support their mission to make critical repairs that help low-income homeowners stay safely in their homes. In addition, we support our community’s arts scene through the Washington Center for the Performing Arts, as well as sponsoring local sports teams, schools, firefighter charities, and more.

Nate was awesome. I planned to only change the expansion tank and I never felt pressured to do any more. He made sure it was whatever I wanted to do. He showed me the age of the unit, which was 4 years older than what I even thought, gave me a price comparison too. It was clear we needed to change the unit to save ourselves in the long run. Nick was thorough and professional. He explained everything well and answered our questions completely. Due to the estimated cost to repair our water heater, and the fact that it’s warranty would expire in a year, we decided to purchase a new one and signed up for the Legend service, as well. All this was a LOT more than we expected to pay for what we were hoping would just be catching up on overdue maintenance, but we feel like we made that best decision for the long run. Nick was careful to make sure he was providing us with all options so we could make a decision and he lined up an electrician for us, as well. We’ll call upon Olympic Plumbing Technology and Nick the next time we need plumbing service.

After signing up for the Membership program which initially allowed us a discount on some bib work that we had done last year, we recieved a call from Olympic Plumbing Technology (OPT) stating it was time for our free hot water tank cleaning and home plumbing inspection. Our plumber Gaige came within the indicated time window and was VERY pleasant, professional, clean and well kempt in his appearance. Since my first call for the bib work, I've had two different plumbers from OPT work in my house and I would without hesitation have either of them both back. They do a GREAT job!!!

My 36 year old RUUD water heater finally gave up on me yesterday. (Yes, 36 years old. Gaige said it was an industrial, steel and glass that has been installed in the good old days😂) I called OPT late yesterday afternoon, after I noticed leaking and they fit me in immediately this morning.
Gaige was polite, professional, extremely knowledgeable, explaining all the different types of options etc, and very personable!
Wore shoe covers and cleaned up everything during the whole time.
I had thought this would be such a horrible, messy thing to do, as the water heater is right in the kitchen area, but it turned out to be just fine.
OPT is my go to plumber from here on out.

Ron and Robbie came out to fix a problem with a previous job that Olympic Plumbing Technicians did a few years ago. The drain pipes under our kitchen sink started to leak. They provided excellent service and made good on what was done before at no charge. Ron is the owner and he approved the work because it wasn't done properly in the first place. This is the sort of service that will make us repeat customers. They came out the same day I called as well. All around excellent service. (The initial work, while not up to their own standards, wasn't too bad in that it took three years before the leak showed up).

RAFEAL IS A VERY CORDIAL. COURTEOUS AND IS VERY CUSTOMER SERVICE ORIENTED TECHNICIAN. HE WAS HERE TO DO A HOT WATER HEATER FLUSH. DUE TO TH E AGE OF MY HOT WATER HEATER, WE DISCUSSED REPLACEMENT. HE GAVE ME OPTIONS THAT WERE GOOD FOR ME. I AGREED TO HAVONG THE REPLACEMENT DONE THE SAME DAY. HE CHECKED SLL THE FITTINGS AND REPLACED TWO IN THE KITCHEN. HE HAD EVERYTHING COMPLETED AND CLEANED UP WITHIN 3 1/2 HOURS. I COULDN'T ASK FOR BETTER SERVICE. THANKS.
